Collier County Arrest Records Search - More Advanced Than Most, But…
It took a little digging but I was able to find Collier County arrest records from the Collier County Sheriff’s Department. Not only are the arrest records available online, but the entire arrest card is posted. You can view the photo of the person arrested, if it is available, as well as their personal information, the date and time of the arrest, where this person is employed, and what the nature of their offense is and their bond per offense.
I’m not sure what reason Collier County had to display their arrest cards online, but this is exactly the kind of thing you would have to dig through when you go to a records facility in any county looking for arrest records. It is interesting to look at on one note, but on the other, it sort of makes you feel like you are invading the privacy of these people. What if you just need to look at the arrest records of one person in particular? This option is not available. You are forced to go to a page with everybody’s arrest records for that date and look at them all to get to the one you need.
There is another problem with this system of looking up arrest records. They are filed by date, not by name. You would have to know the exact date of the person’s arrest in order to view their arrest records, and then it would only be for that date. Prior arrests are not on these cards. If you wanted to know if and when someone has been arrested, you would literally have to look through hundreds of thousands of these arrest cards in order to find them. There is a link for every day that someone was arrested in Collier County since December 1st, 2007.
It would be much easier if you could go to Collier County’s website and simply type in a person’s name and search that person’s arrest records. Unfortunately, as advanced as Collier County is compared to many other counties, this option is still not available. The only way you will be able to find arrest records on an individual person in Collier County is to pay a professional service to get those records for you. The fee isn’t much, and the results of their arrest records search will be much more accurate than you can find for yourself because they have the resources to get to them.
