Get Police Arrest Records In Dickson County For Less Than $4 Per Gallon

You can find all sorts of public records online for Dickson County, Tennessee.  You can find military records, obituaries, family records, deeds and land grant records, Bible records, even records of people’s last will and testament.  Do you feel a little bit like you’re on a shrimp boat listening to all of the ways somebody can cook shrimp?

What you won’t find online for Dickson County are police arrest records.  Why would they make other such personal information available on the internet but not police arrest records?  It just doesn’t make sense.  I am not aware of any law that has made Dickson County immune to the Freedom of Information Act.  I’m sure that the police arrest records are available; it just won’t be as simple as turning on your computer.  Not easy and free, anyway.

You will probably have to go to the county courthouse and find out where to look up police arrest records.  They may send you to the main police stations in the county, because there is more than one town in Dickson County and each has its own police force.  Wow, that’s a lot of work, and a lot of driving.  Even if you live in Dickson County, that would be a lot of driving.  For someone like me who does not live in the county, it could take hours just to get to Dickson and then more hours to drive from one police station to the other.

With gas costing more than $4 a gallon these days, you can bet that I’m going to look for a cheaper way to get the Dickson County police arrest records I need.  I don’t think calling each police station would net me a lot of results, especially after the first one I tried sounded so annoyed at me.  There is another option.

I think what I am going to have to do is get back online and shop around for one of those background search websites.  Police arrest records will surely come up on one of those.  I will have to check and make sure of this, however, because they are not all the same.  I have seen that some of these background check websites want you to sign up for a monthly plan.  I don’t need that, I just need one police arrest records check for one person.  I will end up paying a little something for the check, but it will surely be less than I would pay for $4 a gallon gas to get the police arrest records on my own.
